I am so excited to be a part of the Lyme Health and Wellness Fair this weekend!
I'll be joining about 50 other participants at the event, all sharing information and resources to help you live a healthier, happier life. There will be demonstrations, raffles, and more!
Maybe the most exciting thing is that I'll be hosting a demonstration and sharing tools and strategies to lower stress and feel better. I hope you can make it!
What Is Wellness?
Wellness means different things to different people. For many people, wellness means physical fitness, holistic care, happiness, relaxation, emotional balance, stress reduction, quality of life and spiritual health. Everyone has their own definition of Wellness, and it's worth taking the time to define what wellness means to you.
Creating Your Wellness Goals
Once you have an idea of what wellness means to you, you begin creating goals that move you closer to your own personal sense of wellness.
For some people, wellness goals include maintaining a healthy weight, reducing stress, managing medical challenges, increasing fitness, or fulfilling personal and professional goals. Some people want a better balance between work and home. Others want to be more organized and less cluttered. And some people want to be more intuitive and better at listening to the signals their body gives them.
A Plan for Wellness
Now that you have an idea of what wellness means to you, and some idea of how you want things to be, it's time to make a plan! Grab a notebook and start by writing down your definition of Wellness. Often times your definition will inform your goals.
Next, write out your goals - the things you want for yourself. Perhaps to be healthier, calmer, more present.
Now you can write out the actions you'll take to reach your goals. Maybe you'll start walking more, meal prepping, or practicing self hypnosis. Remember to start easy and build up. Action plans work best if you are able to follow them with minimal effort!
The Role of Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a specific set of tools and language skills designed to help people use their own skills, abilities, and resources more effectively to take back control of the parts of their lives that they felt were out of control before. Hypnosis breaks down the barriers that have held you stuck in unwanted behaviors and habits, and empowers you to create new healthier behaviors in their place.
